about me.

My interest in Product Design stems from a place of wanting our increasingly digital lives to be easy, equitable, and enjoyable.

I received my UI/UX education from Designlab’s UX Academy. Currently, I'm working as a Product Designer with Dedicated Co., a software development consulting group. With them, I’ve worked on websites and email marketing campaigns for brands like Anyway Magazine and Teachers Unify.

My background is in Fine Arts and Film program coordination. After graduating with a B.A. in Art History, I worked in museums, galleries, art studios, and creative non-profits. I have always been interested in aesthetics and form, but good storytelling is at the core of what drives me. This is what led me to pursue UX design. Good product design can evoke feelings and communicate ideas in the same way a good story can. It identifies key conflicts or obstacles and creates paths for users to overcome them. Its design elements can take a simple task and turn it into a satisfying or exciting experience. Ideally, it can do all of the above while being accessible, responsive, and adaptable.

You know a good product when you see it. Its purpose is clear, it looks cool, it’s easy to navigate, and it probably makes you feel good. Working to be part of the process that brings users enjoyable solutions to their day-to-day, whether that’s simplifying tasks or expanding perspectives, is what motivates me to work in Product Design.
